During the session, the following topics were also discussed:

– Issues related to the creation and development of open-access collections, including copyright matters;

– Identifiers and their application, including DOI codes for different types of documents.

Upon completion of the session, the organizers and participants noted the timeliness and usefulness of such an event for the further implementation of promising linked data formats in the work of medical libraries.

Given that many libraries in Kyrgyzstan use the “IRBIS” software, participants expressed the need to create a union catalog, specifically, initially based on the libraries of medical universities and colleges, as well as universities with medical faculties, and subsequently to hold an IRBIS training course for staff who do not have specialized library education.
